Official Launch of eClub@Bishan North cum E-Lifestyle Family Carnival

Bishan North CC is celebrating 37th National Day with a big bang, incorporating the Family Carnival, E-Lifestyle exhibition and the official launch of eClub@Bishan North. Adding an IT twist in this celebration signifies that Singapore is moving towards an infocomm society.

Targeting at 50,000 households in the Bishan-Toa Payoh North GRC, this event promises an array of fun and info-entertaining programme and activities, ranging from games to E-Lifestyle exhibitions and workshops.

eClub@Bishan North is setup to provide IT facilities to the residents of Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC. It offers infocomm programmes such as National I.T. Literacy Programme, children and adult courses. The eClub also has an internet surfing area, providing free internet surfing to residents who signed up as eClub members. The eClub will be official launched by our Guest-of-honour, Mr Zainudin Nordin.

There will be LAN gaming competition, PC scheme recipients presentation, membership drive, free internet surfing and a series of free workshops for participants. Attractive prizes will be won for the contests. There will be a lucky draw and souvenirs will be given to all participants.

Guests-of-honour for this event are Mr Wong Kan Seng, Minister for Home Affairs and Mr Zainudin Nordin, MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.
