Company History
Potential Engineering & Hardware Company,
a locally owned company, was established in 1979 to support various
major military refurbishing projects undertaken by Singapore Automotive
Engineering Pte Ltd as delegated specialist sub-contractor. It
was later incorporated in 1988 to become Potential Engineering
& Hardware Pte Ltd to better equip us for future development
and bigger challenges.
Potential, armed with long and proven manufacturing experience,
we ventured further into designing and provide turn-key manufacturing
facilities of supplying designed, machined sub-assembly and components
to various small and medium enterprises, multinational corporation
and government bodies particularly, the Ministry of Defence.
Potential Engineering & Hardware Pte Ltd principle activities
are to undertake high precision engineering projects in terms
of designing, manufacturing, machined sub assembly and components,
repairing and re-conditioning of precision parts.

About Potential Engineering & Hardware
Mr. Tony P. T. Lau, our Managing Director, also
the founder of this company, was formerly a machinist expert in
Singapore Automotive Engineering Pte Ltd. His supervisor then,
provided him with wise exposure to tackle various demanding engineering
requirements, which had helped him to set a strong foundation
to the company’s future endeavours.

Message from Mr. Tony P. T. Lau, Our Managing
Director
 I
started off in the engineering line as a trainee under the Engineering
Training Course conducted by Economic Development Board from 1969
till 1971. After which, I joined Metalbox's Tool & Die Department
in 1971 and left to join Singapore Mitsui in 1974 for about 2
years. During my vocation in Singapore Mitsui, the company sent
me for a Tool & Die course in Japan. In 1976, I joined Singapore
Automotive Engineering Pte Ltd (SAE) as a supervisor taking charge
of the machine shop in SAE. With the skills and experience gained,
I ventured into my own business in 1979.
My success in establishing and maintaining strong relationships
with our clients over the years relies on the beliefs that we
should always provide them with prompt and quality services as
well as superlative after-sales services. We had established several
long-term clients such as York Transport, Ministry of Defence,
Deflog Technologies and Austac Enterprise.
I strongly believe that our company will continue to grow and
able to acquire a wider share of the local market as well as overseas
market. I also promise that we will continue to provide value-added
services to our current and prospective clients and at the same
time be updated with the new upcoming technologies.
